How Many Back Links Do You Need To Get Top Rankings in the Search Engines?

Most people think you need to get thousands of back links to your website in order to get really high rankings in the search engines. I want to show you that it is not true and that you can in fact get lots of rankings with very little back links.

The backlinks you want to go after are the ones in your market! Don’t waste your time trying to get links from sites that have nothing to do with you. This worked five years ago but Google has figured out that just because you have a bunch of links to your site does not mean your something special and worthy of high rankings.

I have ranked a site for competitive keywords in no time flat with only 35 back links! How did I do that when other sites I was competing against had thousands?

Simple Rule:

Go after the sites that complement your site the most. If Google sees that sites who are trying to rank for the same keywords that you are start liking to your site, they will give you lots of backlink love!

But if you just go and get 5,000 links from all kinds of sites on the Internet, they will figure that out and not give you as much ranking power because they know those sites you just got links from have nothing to do with your market!

So don’t waste time with those link sites and sites offering free back links! The search engines know about those sites and they will not reward you for getting links from them!
