Proper Site Map Generation to Get Indexed in the Search Engines Faster for More Instant Web Traffic!

by WebTrafficMeister on November 13, 2010

Getting your articles and blog posts indexed faster in the search engines is the key too getting more instant web traffic.  The way to do this is to submit your site map to Google, Yahoo and Bing… and then update it every time you have new content on your website.

I use the Standalone Sitemap Generator for one important reason.  Once your site map is initially submitted to the search engines, you can generate and submit a new updated site map with one click.  Here is what you need to do proper site map generation.

First, you need to open accounts with the following search engines.

Google Webmasters
Bing Toolbox
Yahoo Site Explorer

Once you have accounts with these 3 main search engines, all you need to do is add your website.

You will then be asked to verify your website.  Instructions will be given, which consists of uploading a file to your website or putting code on your website so that Google, Yahoo, and Bing can verify you control the site.

Once you have verified your website, you can create your sitemap and upload it to your server.  This can be done with the Standalone Site Map Generator.

It will take a few days or even a couple of weeks for the search engines to first read and index your website pages or posts.  If you already have an existing website, some of these pages may already be indexed.  The goal however, if to have new pages indexed as you create them.

For new websites, do not worry if all of your pages are not indexed at first.  Because with the Site Map Generator you will now be able to update your site map every time you create new content on your website (by new content, I mean an entirely new page or blog post).

Why is this important? Because if you only use a free site map generator,  you will need to manually upload your site map (replacing over the old one on your service) every time you update it.  You will also need to log into your Google, Bing, and Yahoo accounts to resubmit the site map.

But with the Standalone Sitemap Generator, every time you create a new site map, it automatically replaces over your own site map on your server, and automatically notifies the search engines that you have a new site map for them to index.

Site Map Generator

I have found with my website, that my new pages and posts are indexed quickly and it’s much less hassle than having to log into 3 different accounts (Google, Yahoo, Bing) and replacing over resubmitting the new site map.

One way to increasing your web traffic is having a vibrant website where you are adding fresh new pages and posts.  Google especially loves this   And generating an updated site map every time is the fastest way to let Google know you have a new page or post to index.  Otherwise, it may take a month for any search engine spider to make their rounds back to your website to read and index the content.

And here is the really cool this about this site map generator.  I paid for it once and can use it on multiple websites.  Learn more about the Unlimited SiteMap Generator.
